A new method is proposed for early assessment of the therapeutic effectiveness of IFN-beta in RMS, based on determining the dynamics of the intrathecal marker of immune activation sCD27 in the patient's cerebrospinal fluid before treatment and in the period 6-9 months after the start of therapy. Differences in the mechanisms of activation of monocytes mediated by stimulation of TLR4 and TLR7/8 were revealed in patients with RMS and progressive multiple sclerosis, which consist in an imbalance in the production of IL-1beta, IL-6 and IL-12p70. The dynamics of expression of CD80-, CD86- and PD-L1-positive monocytes of patients with RMS was studied. The patterns of expression of co-signal molecules, as well as the production of cytokines in groups of IFN-beta responders and non-responders in the dynamics of treatment are disclosed. A molecular genetic study of the carriage of the HLA-DRB1*1501-DQB1*0602 haplotype among patients in the north-eastern region of Ukraine was carried out. A method is proposed for determining the risk group for developing MS by determining the SNP rs9271366 A/G using allele-specific PCR.
