M.M. Grishka NAS of Ukraine popup.description2 To evaluate the vulnerability of Maritime Antarctic ecosystems to global climate change it is necessary to estimate and quantitative measure of biogeochemical flows of chemical elements from the ocean to the land. The chemical composition of the cormorants' feather and seals' fur was estimated. The content of nutrients in cormorants' guano and seals' excrements was determined. Chemical composition of the soils near cormorant and seal colonies are compared with the soils of adjacent territories without zoogenic impact. The accumulation of waste products had a strong effect on the nutrient content, as well as the physical and chemical properties of studied soils. Much more nutrients were found in the soils under the strong zoogenic impact. pH values in such conditions were higher, compared with non-affected soils. The scheme of zoogenic vector flows of chemical elements in Maritime Antarctic was developed. Product Description popup.authors Bedernichek Tymur Yu. Loya Vlasta V. popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
