Object: modification of aviation fuels composition for GTE. Purpose: performance of a complex of works to improve the fuel performance characteristics for the GTE, aviation transportations safety and environmental friendliness. Research methods and equipment: monographic, analytical methods, standard methods and equipment for investigation of the physicochemical, operational and environmental properties of traditional and modified fuels. Results: • the physicochemical, operational and ecological properties of reformulated fuels for GTE, obtained via camelina and rapeseed oils modification by the esterification of biocomponents – simple alcohols (methanol, ethanol), were investigated; • the operational parameters of the GTE with the use of aviation reformulated fuels, obtained via camelina and rapeseed oils modification by the esterification of biocomponents – simple alcohols (methanol, ethanol), were investigated; • the efficiency of the use of GTE reformulated fuels, obtained via camelina and rapeseed oils modification by the esterification of biocomponents, to improve the environmental friendliness of aircraft, was substantiated. The expected research results are new and will contribute to the conservation of energy and improve the safety and environmental friendliness of aviation through the use of new types of highly efficient alternative aviation fuels. The production of biocomponents of reformed fuels for GTE will be made from domestic raw materials. The results of this project are implemented in activity of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and may be introduced into the activities of domestic and international aviation industries, petrochemical companies.
