The results of the work are: it was developed and tested the technology of smelting magnesium alloys using ZTMK salt chlorinator melt as a flux instead of the traditionally used VI-2 which contains foreign components; the technology for modifying magnesium castings using carbon-containing waste of Ukrgrafit JSC (Zaporizhzhia) was also developed and tested. The use of metallurgical waste in the smelting of magnesium alloys can significantly reduce the costs of its production, lower the impact on the environment and reduce the costs of waste disposal. The composition of the heat resistant rhenium-free nickel-based casting alloy has been developed. The alloy is intended for production of the blades of gas-turbine units for ground use by the method of directed crystallization. The alloy contains alloying elements in the following ratio, %: C - 0,06…0,12; Cr - 4,5…5,5; Co - 5,0…6,0; W - 8,0…9,0; Mo - 0,4…1,0; Al - 5,7…6,3; Ta - 8,0…9,0; B - 0,005…0,015; Ce - 0,005…0,015; Y - 0,0005…0,015; Ni - base.
