Formed in 1992–2004, the ideologized party conflict system in Ukraine in 2005–2012 has changed to a polarized conflict system of parties of geopolitical choice. However, since 2014, the level of deep conflict of this party system has decreased. In place of ideologically left and right national-democratic parties came the dominance of unstable, low-ideological parties. Real party activity is handled by a few percent of party functionaries and a very small proportion of party activists. Proponents of different multiparty models significantly outweigh supporters of one-party or non-party systems. Of all multiparty models, a relative majority of citizens support the 3-5 party model. Citizens do not trust parties and do not believe that their activities meet democratic standards, negatively treat party funding from the state budget.
