Objective: To optimize the algorithm of diagnostics and treatment of this combined pathology on the basis of studying the features of the effect of disorders of purine metabolism on the development of insulin-dependent and insulin-independent forms of diabetes mellitus and its complications, which are specific to the Ukrainian population. Hyperuricuria was diagnosed in 23.5% of those surveyed, which is more commonly found in female subjects with type 2 diabetes.It has been established that the age factor and duration of diabetic history are risk factors for software disorders in patients with type 2 diabetes in the development of absolute insulin dependence, and they have been found to increase the decompensation of carbohydrate metabolism. The important role of the xanthine oxidase system in the mechanism of development of endothelial dysfunction in patients with diabetes of both 1 and 2 types is revealed.
