Research methods: theoretical analysis, synthesis, statistical methods, structural analysis, tabular and graphical methods, sociological survey, generalization, comparison, grouping. Approaches to the essence of the “quality of life” and models of its evaluation are investigated. The influence of ethnicity on the quality of life, which is realized through the behavioral and ideological channels related to the components of ethnic identity and interethnic relations (isolation, stereotypes, etc.) are substantiated. The methodological bases of the study of quality of life in the ethnodemographic dimension are highlighted. A survey was conducted in the territory of the Transcarpathian region, which, based on self-identification, included respondents from such ethnic groups: Ukrainians, Hungarians, Russians, Slovaks, Roma, Romanians; and a small number of other ethnic groups (Poles, Jews, Georgians, Ruthenians, Czechs). Based on the survey, an analysis of the available Satan quality of life in the following areas: education and training; health and health; welfare and material deprivation; living conditions and place of residence; leisure, recreation, culture; social interaction, social environment; employment. This made it possible to identify interethnic differentiation in the present state of quality of life and to identify the most specific ethnic groups for the problem. The sub-indices for the areas of assessment and the total quality of life indexes for objective living conditions and their subjective evaluation are calculated. This allowed each respondent to be classified as "well-being", "dissonance", "resilience" or "deprivation"; and, accordingly, to form structural profiles of the studied ethnic groups.
