Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The relationship between the expression of oncogenic (-10b, -21, -221) and oncosuppressive (-29b, -34a, 122, -133a -200b, -320a) circulating miRNAs with the clinical and morphological characteristics of breast cancer (BC) and clinical indicators of sensitivity to neoadjuvant therapy was established. The relationship between the expression of oncogenic and oncosuppressive miRNAs in the serum of patients with some clinical and pathological features of breast cancer has been revealed. High levels of miR-10b and low levels of miR-200b were observed in the serum of patients with advanced breast cancer. The level of circulating miR-10b, -221, -200b, -29b and -122 correlated with the presence of metastatic lesions of regional lymph nodes, while the expression level of miR-21 was inversely dependent on the differentiation degree of BC. It was found that high expression of oncogenic miRNAs (-10b and -221) and low expression of oncosuppressive miRNAs (-29b and -122) are associated with an unfavorable BC prognosis, which is characterized by high malignancy and low rates of 5-yearoverall and 3-year relapse-free survival of patients. The expression profile of circulating miR-21, -200b, -320a, -34a, -122, -133a depending on the sensitivity to neoadjuvant polychemotherapy by FAC, AC, TAC regimens is identified. The possibility of using circulating miRNA expression indicators to predict the aggressiveness of the BC course, the risk of recurrence and as predictive markers of the effectiveness of neoadjuvant treatment is substantiated.
