Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The objects of the study are charged and neutral particles in dusty molecular plasma, radiation at an electrical breakdown in the atmosphere of Mars, dielectric materials under the action of ion fluxes and ionizing radiation. The aim of this stage is determination of the main processes of production and loss of plasma species taking place at formation of dust particles in C2H2 and Ar/C2H2 discharges; study of parameters and radiation from CO2/ N2/Ar discharge under conditions corresponding to the parameters of dusty storms on Mars; measurement of luminescence of dielectric materials and development of new methods for mathematical treatment of luminescent spectra. It is investigated how the properties of C2H2 and Ar/C2H2 discharges depend on the input flux of acetylene in discharge chamber, the input power, the type of electron energy distribution function and the size of dust particles. The main processes responsible for the formation and loss of different plasma species at growth of dust particles are determined, and the recommendations concerning control of formation of dust particles in C2H2 and Ar/C2H2 discharges are given. The properties and radiation from CO2/ N2/Ar discharge at external conditions corresponding to the dusty storms on Mars are studied, and the effects of dust particles on the discharge parameters and the radiation from this discharge are determined. The luminescence measurements for different dielectric materials are conducted and new methods for mathematical treatment of luminescent spectra are developed.
