By deposition of colloidal particles with acetic acid, a high-luminescent material was obtained, which emits light in the range of 420-600 nm. It has been shown that nanocomposites based on carbon nitride and layered KNb3O8 and HNb3O8 niobates exhibit higher photocatalytic activity in the evolution of hydrogen from aqueous donor substrates than individual components due to better charge separation between components of the composite. C3N4 has been found to be an effective catalyst for the Knevenagel condensation reaction between benzaldehyde and ethyl cyanoacetate, and a carbon nitride and ruthenium nanoparticle composite is a catalyst for the oxidation of betulin.
