For the first time, a floristic list of the river basin has been compiled, numbering 1408 species of higher vascular plants, presenting 575 genus and 129 families. According to the results of the researches, an electronic database was created and the "Abstract of the flora of the Ingulets River Basin" was prepared. The research established an electronic database and prepared "Abstract flora Ingulets River Basin." In the flora observed 292 species that have the legal status of protection, including the Red Data Book of Ukraine (2009) included 66 species. The main tendencies of flora changes in the Ingulets basin under the influence of anthropogenic factors are determined; ways of optimization of vegetation protection in the investigated territory are outlined. The structure of the coenotic populations of 2 rare plant species was studied for the first time: Iris pontica Zapal. and Astragalus henningii (Steven) Klokov in the natural tracts of Dnipropetrovsk region. It is established that the studied populations of both species belong to the normal type that have all stages. The results of the introduction of the species of collections of rare and endangered (291 species) and medicinal (151 species) plants into the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden are summarized, and the conclusion is made about the success of the introduction of most of them with the purpose of protection and preservation in the conditions of the Right-Bank of Steppe Dnieper region.
