Tairov Institute of Viticulture and Wine-making" popup.description2  DNA identification of fungal pathogens showed a difference in species composition between asymptomatic plants and esca affected plants. Samples with esca symptoms showed the presence of Eutypa lata and Botryosphaeria dothidea species, which were absent in asymptomatic plants. To a certain extent, this suggests their connection with the development of the esca. Among the typical species associated with the esca, 3 isolates of Cadophora luteo-olivacea were identified. The isolation and identification of pathogens associated with the grapevine esca in 2019 allowed to isolate several strains of Cadophora luteo-olivacea, which, after sequencing, would be used to identify relationships between Ukrainian strains and European ones. The possibility of the downy mildew agent mitochondrial DNA use to identify haplotypes different in resistance to fungicides has been demonstrated. The increase in the number of haplotypes isolated in the vineyards indicates the intensity of the emergence process of resistance to fungal pathogens. The presence of RUN1 and REN1 loci in grapes makes it possible to isolate genotypes with effective protective mechanisms against powdery mildew. Therefore, screening of grape varieties and selections genotypes of National Scientific Center “Tairov Research Institute of Viticulture and Wine-Making” for resistance to powdery mildew in order to increase the efficiency of parental pairs selection is perspective.
