S. Kolomiychenko Institute of Otolaryngology of National Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine" popup.description2 The results of the work were obtained on the basis of the analysis of clinical and diagnostic examination of 95 patients of working age under stress and 20 people in the control group. In the course of the work, the optimal methods of research of auditory function according to the data of comprehensive subjective audiometry, intelligibility of speech on the background of interference and filtered speech, adaptive test, objective audiometry, indicators of vestibular function, scale for questioning were selected and determined be able to perform differential topical diagnostics to detect abnormalities in the central or peripheral departments of the auditory and vestibular analyzers. The load test made it possible to evaluate the peculiarities of the manifestations of the phenomenon of auditory adaptation, depending on the patient's emotional state. The work shows that stress of varying degrees of manifestations, which is accompanied by impaired auditory function in patients, leads to a depletion of the adaptive capacity of the auditory system, and not receptor formations. According to the study of speech intelligibility on the background noise, central auditory disorders were detected in only 10.5% of patients, in the study of the intelligibility of the filtered language disorders of central auditory processing revealed 51.6% of persons. Important tests were determining auditory attention and auditory memory. The decrease in these indicators indicates a violation of the quality of life and a decrease in the capacity of patients. The features of the vestibular function were evaluated. These studies showed that in all patients the level of the vestibular lesion was localized in the retrolabyrinth compartments, that is, the central vestibular syndrome was diagnosed, which was manifested by dissociated vestibular reactions, inadequate responses to experimental irritation, and nystagmus dysrhythmias.
