The subject of the research is theoretical and methodological aspects and methodological provisions on the formation of strategic priorities for the development of the timber industry complex of Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to develop a theoretical and methodological support for the justification and choice of priority directions for the development of the timber industry complex of Ukraine. Research methods: theoretical generalization, systematic, logical, graphical analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, method of classification, grouping, comparison, description, cognitive maps, taxonomic and cluster analysis. A structural-logical model of the choice of strategic priorities for the development of the pharmaceutical industry of Ukraine has been developed. The methodical approach to the estimation of the state of forestry and logging in Ukraine and countries of the world is offered. Methodical provisions are developed to assess the progressiveness of the structure of the LDP of Ukraine and the countries of the world, based on the classification of its production and technological redistributions by the value of gross value added. A methodological approach to the assessment of the competitiveness of the production of products of the manufacturing industry of the pharmaceutical industry in Ukraine and in the countries of the world as a whole and of individual LEDs has been developed. A cognitive map of the state of forestry and logging research in Ukraine and countries of the world is constructed.
