Based on this infor-mation, recommendations were developed for methods of cleaning the surface of the steel lining and for methods of stabilizing the tem-perature of technological heating of the lining in the process of applying tantalum in order to reduce the level of softening of the barrel met-al. The parameters of the coating process and the parameters of the sequential heat treatment of the product are developed. A technological process and equipment for coating tantalum on the inner surface of thermally reinforced bar-rels of artillery systems is proposed.
