The basic characteristics of the discharge, the conditions of ignition and "combustion" of the discharge at discharge currents up to 40 A. were studied. The design of a flat probe with a security electrode and the design of an electrostatic analyzer for the study of the plasma parameters of molybdenum vapor and the energy spectra of molybdenum ions in the generated plasma fluxes are developed and manufactured.
