The ultrasonic thickness meter with A/B scan MVX (Dakota Ultrasonics) was used. The complex of diagnostics features of hydrogen assisted macrodelamination inside of pipe wall of main pipeline is supplemented with the new diadnostics electrochemical feature, namely, polarization resistance. Its decrease more 30% allows to predict such increase of stress-strain state on external pipe surface which provides a danger of exit of macrodefect on surface. Two defects of delamination type are revealed in the pipe wall of the linear overground part – the water barrier in the mountain area – 30 years of operated gas trunk which were eliminated by round welds.
