Purpose: to investigate the correlation between manifestation of juvenile kyphosis and activity of autonomic nervous system and blood leptin level. Research methods and apparatus: radiographic−OPERA Т90-cex GMM s.p.a. Italia; termographic− thermal imaging system "Thermal Field Analyzer"; registration of heart rate variability – computer complex “Cardiolab” DX systems; registration of spontaneous bioelectrical activity – polygraph П8Ч-01; ultrasonographic −Aplio 550 (Tohsiba, Japain); electromyographic – multi-modality nerve conduction study system "Neuro-MEP-4" (Neurosoft). Theoretical and practical results: A screening of 430 adolescents was conducted, and 54 of them were examined with signs of juvenile kyphosis. It was found that in persons with manifestations of kyphosis, the central hypothalamic regulation of autonomic reactions prevails. Biochemical studies of the level of leptin in blood plasma indicate that there is no clear correlation of its level with the degree of kyphotic deformity of the spine. There is a connection between osteochondropathic kyphosis formation and adrenal secretory function, which manifests itself in coincidence during the physiological jump of adolescent growth at the age of 13-15 years, simultaneously with increased secretion of adrenal sex hormones and the mostly frequent period of development of juvenile kyphosis. Novelty: The hypothesis about the leading role of the sympathetic division hypertonus of the autonomic nervous system in the pathogenesis of juvenile kyphosis, as well as the effect of the hormonal function disorders in the adrenal glands on this process, is substantiated. Implementation efficiency: An algorithm for examination of adolescents with clinical signs of juvenile osteochondropathic kyphosis early forms has been developed. Field of use: Prophylactic examinations of school-age children. Product Description popup.authors Vishyakov Andrii Ye. Dem'yanenko Ganna M. Demchenko Dmytro O. Duplij Diana R. Kazalap Elysаveta S.
