The purpose of the work is to develop scientific and technical solutions that will increase the allowable number of starts of a high-capacity steam turbines by changing the design and conditions of warming up the high-pressure rotors in the stages of start-up preparation and start-up. Methodological approaches to the calculation of the non-stationary thermal state and thermal stress state of the steam turbine elements, and to the analysis of the oscillations of the turbine rotor on the fluid-film bearings, are developed. Such approaches include the following: a method for determining the heat transfer coefficients taking into account the jet nature of steam flow in seals; a methodological approach to the determination of thermal boundary conditions on the surfaces of elements of a high-pressure cylinder; an algorithm for taking into account the process of film condensation of steam on the surfaces of the elements of the rotor; a geometric model of a bearing fluid film layer of a fluid-film bearing of arbitrary shape; methods of analysis of rotor oscillations on fluid-film bearings. Further development of the study is possible in the following areas: investigation of the non-stationary thermal and thermo-stressed state of the high-pressure rotor and the upgraded front end sealing clamp while operating under new warming conditions; estimation of the high-pressure rotor life and upgraded front end seal with a low-cycle fatigue mechanism. The possible users of the results are Turboatom JSC (Kharkiv) and other Ukrainian and foreign design organizations and production enterprises of the turbine-building industry.
