Today, analyzing the more than 25-year period of the Ukrainian state's development, at the same time, we have reason to say that unfortunately, a comprehensive foreign policy strategy has not been produced by official Kyiv. Significantly subordinated to the policies of influential states, as well as to the calculations of the ruling political forces, in many periods Ukraine's foreign policy was characterized by multi-vectority, neutrality and non-blocism, Eurasianism and equanimity, European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and very little when truly effective the Ukrainian people. The main choice is known to have traditionally been in the East - West plane, Russia - Europe. In the light of recent events, the number of supporters of the idea of European integration of Ukraine is undoubtedly growing rapidly. On November 22, 2018, the VRU adopted by a majority of votes the first reading of the Presidential Bill on Amendments to the Constitution on Ukraine's Strategic Course for EU and NATO Membership. The paper analyzes the participation of Ukraine in the processes of European integration, including at the regional level of integration, taking into account its influence on the internal political environment and global challenges. The analysis of a large number of scientific sources investigates the process of establishing and developing relations between Ukraine and the European Union, substantiates the subordination of European integration of Ukraine to the successes of internal transformations, as well as the relations of the Ukrainian authorities with neighboring and other countries, the deployment of forces in the international arena. Considerable attention was paid to Ukraine's relations with the RP - a "lobbyist" and a "promoter" of Ukrainian interests at the level of the leading political institutions of Europe.
