Registration Date 26-02-2020 Organization Ukrainian Research Institute of Forestry and Forest Melioration named after G. M. Vysotsky popup.description2 Study object: forest stands of Ukraine where forest pathological processes were observed. Aim of the study: to analyze the changes in condition of the main forest forming species stands in different regions of Ukraine. Methodology of the study: collection, generalization and analysis of the data on Ukrainian forests where pathological processes were observed; search for consistent patterns in pathological processes spreading; selection and analysis of special aspects of growing of trees resistant to pathogenic processes. Recommendations on how to prevent a mass spread of pathogenic processes in stands of the main forest forming species are developed. The quantitative estimation of the scale of pathological processes in the Ukrainian forests is given by the regional forest and hunting departments as of 2018. The forecast of how pathological processes will progress in forests of Ukraine by 2027 is developed and consistent patterns of their spreading in the stands are revealed. The findings will be implemented in Ukrainian forestry management. They will help both to determine main reasons for forest stands to weaken and to decrease negative consequences of pathological processes in forests.
