For the efficient use of preparations of semiconductor nanocrystals modified with oligonucleotides, the key requirement is a sufficiently high degree of their purification from free (unattached) oligonucleotides, which will interfere with the further formation of "smart" hybrid nanocomplexes. One simple and effective approach for such purification may be the use of ultrafiltration centrifuge concentrators. Thus, the main task of this stage of the study was to investigate the possibility of using ultrafiltration centrifuge Amicon Ultra 0.5 concentrators to develop a method for purification of AgInS quantum dots modified by oligonucleotides from free oligonucleotides. The results obtained indicate that the concentrators, the filtration membrane of which is made of regenerated cellulose, quite satisfactorily hold QDs AgInS, but the removal of oligonucleotides is not quite effective. The degree of transition of MP-F oligonucleotides from the stock solution to the filtrate in the medium of SSC and carbonate buffer solutions is shown to be significantly higher than in pure water, although it does not exceed 40% of the initial amount of the substance.
