The object of study is the professional activity of police officers engaged in analytical activities in the National Police of Ukraine. The subject of the study is a professional chart of professional activity of police officers engaged in analytical activity in the National Police of Ukraine, features of professional activity and professionally important qualities of police officers. Research methods are chosen based on the identified goals and objectives, taking into account its object and subject. To solve these tasks, it is advisable to use a set of complementary methods: theoretical - to find out the theoretical aspects of the activities of police officers engaged in analytical activities in the National Police of Ukraine, empirical to study the features of service activities, practical approbation of measures to improve the system; establishment of efficiency of the performed work and statistics for processing of results of experimental researches, establishment of quantitative dependencies between the studied indicators and provision of analysis and verification of empirical data. Obtained results: methodological recommendations were prepared on the development of a professional chart and profile of the profession of a police officer engaged in analytical activities in the National Police of Ukraine. The materials contain the developed professional chart and profile of the police-analyst profession and the empirical results of psychological testing of employees, which became the basis for writing this work. The available material of the changes that have taken place in the process of law enforcement reform contains recommendations that can be applied by practical psychologists and police commission specialists in the selection and certification of police personnel.
