Goal of the study: development of a dynamic model of the radiocesium root uptake into plants at the peat-bog soils Methods of the study: methods of radioecological research, field experiments, methods of collection and preparation of samples, methods of gamma spectrometry and determination of physical, chemical and agrochemical soil parameters, methods of statistical analysis and mathematical modeling. Territories with spread of different soil variations of peat- bog soils were identified near the radiologically critical settlements of Rokytne district of Rivne region ; experimental sites were selected, and radiological parameters of these sites were described; the basic physical, chemical and agrochemical properties of the soil were determined; the parameters of the vertical distribution of 137Cs in the 10 cm soil layer were determined; field experiment within a small area was conducted to simulate recent radioactive fallout in the natural soil and climatic conditions of the Polissya zone. For the first time, initial values of the concentration ratios (CR) and transfer factors (TF) were obtained and the parameters of the dynamics of root accumulation of 137Cs by herbaceous plants were determined for seven time intervals of vegetation periods during 2018-2019 after soil treatment with radiocesium . The values of the short and long-term ecological half-lives ( and , respectively) of CR and TF of 137Cs were estimated. A dynamic model of the radiocesium root uptake by plants from peat-bog soil was developed, its parameterization and verification were performed. Long-term contamination prediction of meadow grass with 137Cs was performed in the long term after the Chernobyl accident; retrospective assessments of herbaceous plants contamination were done at the time of radioactive fallout.
