Research Methods – mathematical modeling methods for solving nonlinear incorrect thermal conduction problems, methods of thermoeconomic analysis and optimization. A regulatory method for solving inverse problems has been further developed, namely, a method and an algorithm for solving inverse heat conduction problems for a region with a moving boundary have been developed. On the basis of the developed algorithm a complex of programs was built, with the help of which the solutions of test and practical problems of heat exchange were obtained. Suggestions for improving the technology of vacuum arc melting of steels with the purpose of increasing the homogenization of alloying impurity have been developed. The methodology of detailed thermodynamic analysis and thermo-economic optimization of refrigerators and heat pumps is proposed, which can be used both in the modernization of their outdated equipment and in the design of new efficient schemes in terms of energy and economic parameters. Design changes in the flowing part of the high-pressure cylinder are proposed to improve the efficiency and reliability of its components. Investigation of thermal processes in the dry storage of spent nuclear fuel has been carried out. The influence of fluctuations in the atmospheric air temperature on the temperature of the spent fuel assemblies is determined by numerical simulation. The results obtained can be used in various fields of science and technology in the assessment of the thermal state of objects of fuel and energy complex and communal services for the purpose of energy conservation.
