The subject of the research is the murals of the temples and gates of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the monuments of Ukrainian sacral painting, gaptting and goldsmithing from the collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve. The methods of the research are general scientific, in particular, those that include analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization; special art historical methods of formal iconographic and comparative stylistic analysis. The historical and cultural-religious context of the forming and spreading of Ukrainian church embroidery has been revealed; the monuments of the golden needlework of the 17th-18th centuries from the collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve has been explored; it has been established that pictorial decoration of the facades was the essential component of the architectural monuments of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the 17th-18th centuries; iconographical and stylistic features of the existing and lost facade murals have been analyzed.
