A mathematical model of the epidemiological process of influenza in Ukraine was developed and its parameters were determined using available retrospective monthly data on influenza incidence, which was integrated into the methodology of pharmacoeconomic analysis of influenza vaccination. According to the results of the study of the developed model, under the existing epidemiological conditions, regardless of the level of vaccination coverage, it is reasonable to defray part of the expenses in a specific target group of population if the ratio between the share of this group among sick people and the share of this group among susceptible persons does not exceed 2.545. The presented model can be used by experts to calculate the availability of influenza vaccines to the population under different conditions.
