There is a lack of systematic and purposeful scientific and practical studies of the insulating properties of domestic clay rocks for their use as SEB components both on existing uranium tails, NPPs and their infrastructure, as well as during storage and long-term storage RAW disposal of different types and categories at the Vector Complex, including, according to the new RAW classification, very low level radioactive waste storage, medium depth storage and geological storage refuge. Characterization of carbon and stainless steels (chemical and phase composition of the surface) and rock-forming clay minerals of bentonite rocks of Cherkasy and Gorbkiv deposits and Na-modified bentonite clay (PBA-20) of Cherkasy deposit (chemical and mineral-chemical characteristics, crystal and chemical properties, crystalline and chemical properties, sorption of 90Sr and 137Cs from model solutions) that affect the insulating properties of buffer materials. On the basis of synthetic matrices (polyacrylonitrile fibers and macroporous strong acid acid cation exchanger (analog of KU-2 cation exchanger), composite sorbents with inorganic phases of double ferrocyanides (K-Cu, K-Ni) and manganese dioxide (with layer structure) were synthesized. of the radionuclides Cs, Sr, U. The physicochemical tests confirmed the formation of the inorganic phase on the surface of the synthetic matrices. and chemical resistance in both acidic and alkaline solutions, high adsorption parameters and selectivity of synthesized composite sorbents with respect to Cs and Sr when sorbed from multicomponent solutions with a high content of competing ions.
