A series of experiments were performed with combined discharges, both in the weak magnetic field and without the magnetic field. Conducted studies of combined discharge in the microwave range with DC discharge allowed us to find conditions under which the anode voltage is significantly reduced. This system of electrodes allowed the installation to investigate combined discharges in the range of ultra-high frequency (microwave) and ultra short waves (VHF) in combination with a discharge of direct current. Experiments with combined discharge (VHF + DC) were conducted in a weak magnetic field B0 ≈ 0.01 T. In this mode, the plasma was generated by an RF discharge (VHF band) using a T-shaped antenna, the high frequency power of PRF = 3 kW, which was fed via a feeder line from the VHF generator (f = 130 MHz). The antenna that creates the VHF discharge is located on the outside of the plasma cord in cross section. The antenna bands are oriented along the magnetic field. After the creation of the plasma RF discharge (VHF range) applied voltage to the electrode system. Special purity argon (99.998%) or H2 + Ar gas mixture (≈20% H2, 80% Ar) was used as the working gas. For the discharge in argon there are two sections on the CVC. At the isthmus, the voltage dependence on the current is linear, that is, with increasing voltage, the discharge current increases linearly. In the second stage, the discharge current with a voltage increase from 75 V to 400 V changes by a small amount by about 15 mA. In the case of a combined discharge, it is also possible to distinguish two sections into the H2 + Ar gas mixture. First section, linear dependence of current on voltage. The second, almost exponential increase in current from the applied voltage.  Product Description popup.authors BARON Demian I GLAZUNOV Gennady P DREVALʹ Mykola B KARPUKHIN Leonid L KOVTUN Yuriy V KOZULYA Mykhaylo M KOROVIN Valeriy B KRAMSKYY Yegor D KULIK Yulia S MAZNICHENKO Sergey M MOISEENKO Vladimir E Pavlichenko Rostislav O ROMANOV Vladislav S SUSKO Evgeny V TARASOV Igor K popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
