Depending on the duration of diabetes, diabetic foot syndrome is found in 50-80% of patients. Of these, 30-70% have purulent-necrotic processes affecting all tissues of the foot, being the source of sepsis with a lethal result in 28-33% of observations. The occurrence of sepsis is possible in the presence of immunosuppression, which is one of the significant pathogenetic links.
