Pisarenko Institute for Problems of Strength of the NAS of Ukraine with the involvement of specialists from the Institute of Nuclear Research of the NAS of Ukraine modernized the generalized database of surveillance specimens test results for estimation the irradiation embrittlement of nuclear power plants reactor pressure vessel. The database was equipped with additional functionality to present information in a more convenient form. The database was placed on a dedicated server and the ability to get access to the database remotely was added. An analytical module (AM) was developed for processing SS test results and predicting embrittlement and life-time of nuclear power plants RPVs. AM allows you to import the necessary data from the SS database and process them using various methods, which are most often used in Ukraine and and all over the world to assessing the metal radiation embrittlement and RPVs life-time prediction. The complex use of a generalized database and AM will ensure storage and operational access to information, as well as increase the accuracy and simplify the process of substantiating the safe operation of the RPVs during the design and super-design service life of power units. A generalized database and AM can be one of the tools for developing and improving the methodological and regulatory framework for determining the state of metal. Further modernization and filling of the database with new data, as well as expanding the capabilities of AM, will improve the accuracy of assessing the degree of metal degradation due to radiation and thermal embrittlement and RPVs life-time prediction.
