Research methods: structural-functional and historical-comparative methods, general scientific principles, interdisciplinary methods. The results obtained: the state of research of the topic in national and foreign historiography is analyzed, the representativeness of the source of the research base for the study of peculiarities and the tendency of the formation of reference apparatus of manuscripts as well as the book collections of the library in different historical periods is revealed. The main ways of improvement and perspective directions of development of the system of the department of manuscripts and the newly created " Scientific reference apparatus of historical collections" are determined. Three publications have been prepared, as well as two chapters for collective monographs. 44 articles have been published in professional domestic and foreign publications, 5 articles have been published on Internet sites, 31 papers have been published at scientific conferences. International scientific conference "Father Clementius Sheptytsky (1869-1951): the life and spiritual path of the Blessed Catholic Church" was organized and held.
