Report on research work: 504 pp., 91 figures, 27 tables, 6 annex, 373 sources. ECONOMIC POLICY, SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, FORECASTING, STRATEGING, FORESIGHT, PRINCIPLES, METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT. The object of the research is the process of strategizing Ukraine's economic policy. The purpose of the research is to develop theoretical and methodological support for formation a strategically oriented economic policy for Ukraine. On the basis of analysis of socio-economic development of Ukraine, the formation of legislative support for strategic planning and economic policy the defects of the strategic management system in Ukraine are defined. The conceptual provisions of organization of forecasting scientific-technical and economic development of the country have been developed. The provisions provide the creation of a system of time-coordinated long-, medium and short-term forecasts for the development of the country, and implementing national foresight on the regular basis. Features of the strategic process at the national and regional level and the theoretical and methodological foundations of strategizing economic policy for Ukraine are revealed. The draft Law of Ukraine “On The State Strategic Management” has been developed. The principles of forming a strategically oriented economic policy as tools of implementing the economic development strategy and conceptual provisions for choosing instruments of economic policy in different direction have been developed. The results of scientific research are used in the state activity and public associations practice. Forecast proposals on perspective directions of research - formation of implementation and monitoring mechanism for the end-to-end strategizing economic policy system.
