The study objectives: - to validate the technical and design solutions laid down in the concept of creating of B8V8MSB unit; - to determine the main technical characteristics of the B8V8MSB unit; - to determine the possibility of using B8V8MSB units for the transportation and combat employment of UAM type C-8 on Mi-2, Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters (rejuvenation of outdated UB-16 units); - working out proposals on possible variants of combat loading when using B8V8MSB units on Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, and, in the nearest prospective - Mi-2; working out proposals on the feasibility of starting a research work on the creation of unguided missile carrier unit (B8V8MSB). Research methods used: system analysis and synthesis, theoretical studies, natural experiment. In the course of the work, an analysis of the current state and prospects of the creation of unguided aviation missile carrier units was performed; the tactical and technical requirements for the unguided aviation missile carrier unit B8V8MSB were substantiated; theoretical studies, ground and flight tests of the experimental sample of B8V8MSB unit were performed. A preliminary assessment of compliance with the basic characteristics of the B8V8MSB unit with the specified requirements for UAM carrier units was made. Proposals on the procedure of further works on creation of the B8V8MSB UAM unit in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were developed. The results of the study can be used by a Customer during decision making process on the creation of the unguided aviation missile carrier unit (B8V8MSB) in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
