В4С + ТіВ2 + CrВ2 was obtained by the method of spark-plasma sintering (SPS), which showed a Vickers hardness of ~ 38 GPa at a load of 10 kg, and > 25 GPa at 20 and 50 kg. Hot pressing (HP) composites of B4C + CrB2 showed high strength at room temperature, ranging from 300 to 700 MPa, which is explained by the formation of chromium diboride at the boundaries of boron carbide grains, at triple points and intergranular voids of the original powder. The rapid reactionary consolidation of SPS has led to the formation of ceramics with grain sizes equal to the size of the initial powders. This resulted in an almost linear increase in the flexural strength of the B4C + TiB2 + CrB2 specimens from 350 MPa at room temperature to 950 MPa at 1600 °C. Ceramics with a lower content of TiB2 and CrB2 showed stable strength > 400 MPa from room temperature to 1800 °C. The ceramics of the B4C + TiB2 + CrB2 composition, consolidated by the HP method, withstood ballistic tests with a caliber of 14.5 B-32 at a distance of 10 m with a ball speed of 998 m/s.
