The international and national regulatory bases for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the gaps in them have been investigated. The main characteristics of the studied area are analyzed. The list of priority actions and recommendations for state authorities, local self-government, specialists, institutions and organizations and all interested persons is offered, including establishing cooperation and exchange of information between all executive bodies implementing state policy in the use of all types of natural resources with the involvement of international organizations studying the topic. Conceptual problems of land monitoring of the Carpathian region are analyzed. The scientifically grounded approaches to their overcoming are proposed, the functional model of the system of land monitoring in the general system of nature management of the Carpathian region is developed. The state of land in the Carpathian region is analyzed. The main degradation processes and their influence on the ways of using land resources are considered. The main features of the interdependence of the features of the region and measures to ensure the rational use of forestry and agricultural land are presented and a system of their protection is proposed.
