Cr coatings increase the corrosion resistance of fuel rod mockups by more than 10 times when tested in high temperature steam at 400 °C for 500 hours. Testing of mock-ups of Cr-coated fuel rods under thermal shock to a temperature of 1200 °C showed high protective properties of the developed coatings. An experimental setup was assembled and tested, which allows depositing coatings on fuel tubes with a length of 500 - 600 mm in an amount of up to 24 pcs.
