As a result, the values of higher and lower combustion heat of agropellets of different types are set. According to the results of experimental studies of the burning of plant pellets, the characteristics of the process of burning pellets in the furnace of the burner connected to the domestic boiler were determined. The characteristic features of the temperature modes of the boiler operation when burning agropellets and wood pellets are determined. The main provisions of the technology of combustion of crushed corn stalks in a retort burner are formulated. The design scheme of the experimental sample of the burner with the use of retort with the lower fuel supply with one screw feeder. An experimental burner for the burning of small lumps of biofuel (corn stalks) with a fuel capacity of 65 kW was installed on the boiler. Conversion and modification of the existing auger feeder was carried out in order to use it to feed corn stalks into the experimental burner. Experimental studies of combustion of crushed fuel in a retort burner together with a screw feeder were carried out. The experimental burner was brought to a working state, the conditions of its stable operation with the proper indicators of process control, completeness of combustion of fuel and indicators of emission of pollutants were revealed. The burner provides the separation of volatiles and their ignition in the space of the burner with the formation of a burning torch in the combustion space of the boiler. The achieved power of the experimental burner 65 kW corresponds to the calculated one. Studies have been conducted on the effect of the total excess air factor on the emission of carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides during the combustion in a pilot burner of crushed fuel with a moisture content of 15%.
