Object of study: 30 healthy Wistar rats; 818 patients with complications of antimycobacterial therapy. Results: conducted a comprehensive experimental justification for the use of ademetionin for the correction of toxic complications of antimycobacterial therapy of chemoresistant tuberculosis. Long-term use of a combination of anti-tuberculosis drugs used to treat resistant forms of tuberculosis leads to the development of toxic encephalopathy in experimental animals, which manifests as a decrease in overall and search activity, the development of anxious behavior, as well as disorders of reference and working memory. Administration of ademetionin in parallel with the combination of anti-tuberculosis drugs used to treat resistant forms of tuberculosis prevents the development of toxic encephalopathy in experimental animals. The use of ademetionin in the complex therapy of patients with multidrugresistent tuberculosis is restoring the balance in the glutathione chain of the thiol-disulfide link of the antioxidant system, which contributes to the normalization of clinical laboratory parameters, promotes the regression of symptoms of toxic encephalopathy, and toxin. Improves the quality of life of patients with chemoresistant pulmonary tuberculosis with toxic side-effects of antimycobacterial therapy, which significantly shortens patients' stay in hospital, improves treatment efficiency, and patient compliance.
