The purpose of the work is to offer the scientific and educational community an academic level of understanding of the phenomenon of traditional material culture of the ancient population of Ukraine – pottery craft, as well as involvement of a wide range of sources in the analysis of ceramological heritage of Ukraine. A key principle of research is the complex nature of scientific studies. New research data have been subordinated to the practical usage of their results both in scientific discourse and in the educational process. Special reference materials on the unification of terminology using to describe archeological ceramics have been prepared. The practical result of the implementation of the topic were: preparation of five monographs (in the state of the manuscripts), publication of 1 monograph and 71 articles, 1 monograph was published, presentation of reports in 57 scientific conferences.
