Transgenic plants with different heterologous genes were analyzed and new phenotypic features emerged in transgenic plants and transgenic root lines. The analysis of transgenic potato plants containing heterologous ribonuclease genes, confirmed higher ribonuclease activity of the extracts and less sensitivity of transgenic plants to viral infection. New features, in vitro salt resistance, have been identified in a transgenic line of orchids with the cytochrome P450scc gene.
