The object of research is the energy unit of the experimental stand for electrohydropulse treatment of materials. In the course of the works, the features of the architecture of the power unit were revealed. The conceptual scheme was developed and the power unit which was bench tested. The laboratory stand is intended for connection to model and other electro-discharge reactors (chambers) as power unit for research and experimental realization of electrohydropulse crushing and grinding of materials. Structurally, all elements of the laboratory stand, except for the remote control post, are mounted inside the metal body at three horizontal levels, one above the other. At the first, lower level, there is a power rectifier oil transformer, two high voltage pulse capacitors and a current sensor. At the second, middle level, there are high-voltage locking switches, a discharge resistor and a discharge switch. On the third, higher level, there is the operation and control unit.
