The purpose of the work is to create a research methodology for devices intended to interfere with the car alarm system by intercepting and processing signals from the car alarm system of a car user, which gives an opportunity to obtain full control of this system. To implement the study a number of approaches have been developed, such as a software-hardware system for research of internal codes; methods for determining PIN; a list of issues to consider during the study of algorithmic code grabbers, instructions for using algorithmic code grabbers. As a result of the study a new methodology for using controller programmers has been developed, according to it controller programmers read information from internal memory of a microprocessor of a car alarm system of the "SHERIFF" type, also there is a list of issues to consider during the study of algorithmic code grabbers, software applied in the study and instructions for it. The novelty of the study is a completely new method of researching algorithmic code grabbers, which are visually indistinguishable from car alarm remotes. This method allows experts to shorten examination time. Efficiency of implementation entails access to the execution of software, bypass software protection, access to internal memory and a study of this information. This method is designed for forensics.
