Objective: to determine traces and remains of archaeological heritage objects in place of excavation during restoration work on the complex of XVIII century. Oh. № 376 of the Archcathedral Cathedral of St. George in Lviv, conducting archaeological supervision of earthworks. Research methods: processing of available archival and bibliographic materials; digging pits; archaeological supervision, which included observation of earthworks during restoration, fixation and research of archeological sites. During the research, 12 pits with a total area of 60 m2 were laid and earthworks were supervised around the cathedral and on the north and west sides of the chapter complex with a total area of 2500 m2. A number of stone foundations were fixed during the works. Following the planning structure of the discovered foundations, it is established that they belong to the previous Gothic church, built in the middle of the XIV and lasted until the middle of the XVIII century. During the works on the southern side of the cathedral, a significant number of human bones were found in a redeposited condition – the remains of a cemetery near the cathedral in the XIV-XVIII centuries. In the course of work a small number of finds dating from the XIV-XVIII centuries were collected. Based on the analysis of the solutions, the presence of lime-brick solutions was confirmed, which testify to the remains of a brick building of the XII-XIII centuries. Tests confirmed evidence of historical and archaeological research of the existence of at least two stone temples at the site where now stands Cathedral. Yura in Lviv.
