An original technique for modifying the surface of a polystyrene is developed, which has a controlled effect on the degree of its hydrophilicity, in order to improve the adsorption efficiency of biomolecules. The use of Raman spectroscopy using Au and Ag nanoparticles has made it possible to obtain data on the chemical structure of the modified surface. The surface plasmon resonance method determines the sorption efficiency of the modified surface with respect to specific antibodies (immunoglobulins), depending on the degree of hydrophilicity. Preservation of the functional activity of biomolecules adsorbed on a modified surface of a solid-phase carrier (polystyrene) by surface plasmon resonance and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay has been experimentally proved.
