The object of study is the set of organizational, production, social and economic relations that underpin the functioning and development of the agricultural sector of the economy. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research work is the dialectical method of cognition and systematic approach to the study of socio-economic processes in the context of individual structural components of the agrarian sector of the economy. The following research methods were used in the process: abstract-logical, comparative, morphological, economic-statistical methods of research. The results of the research work include, in particular, the following: there are identified indicators of the current state and tendencies, challenges and prospects of development of the agrarian sector of the Ukrainian economy as a national complex, as well as in terms of individual sectors, in the context of globalization of world economic relations; proposals for improving the practices of management and production and economic activity of agricultural producers have been developed to ensure their sustainable development and strengthen the potential of the agricultural sector of the Ukrainian economy. The results of the study were reflected in the set of scientific publications for 2017-2020.
