The aim of the work is to systematize natural and anthropogenic factors to determine the components of the water balance of Lake Lebedyne and to provide an opinion on the possibility of restoring its water content. The main tasks that will be solved during the implementation of this development are the following: - collection of available hydrometeorological, hydrogeological and water management information regarding the research area, creation of the necessary database; - assessment of the temporal dynamics of air temperature and precipitation, in particular for the last 40 years, according to observations of the Lebedyn meteorological station; - assessment of the water content of rivers located on the territory of the research, according to the materials of observations of reference hydrological posts, water levels in wells, ponds; - drawing up a map-scheme of hydrodynamic pressures of groundwater of aquifers (complexes) for the territory adjacent to the lake - construction of the basic scheme of spatial movement of groundwater for the given territory, taking into account the existing natural and anthropogenic components of water balance formation; - clarification (based on the spatial scheme) of the direction of groundwater flow (towards or from the lake), establishing the nature of the relationship between groundwater and surface water; - determination (according to the provided materials) of the main geofiltration parameters (filtration coefficients, water conductivity, water return, etc.) of aquifers (complexes) for the territory adjacent to the lake and the depth of water layers; - analytical calculations of the amount of water that may enter or be lost from the lake due to groundwater supply or losses, taking into account possible water levels in the lake and the amount of precipitation; - providing an opinion on the possibility of restoring the water content of Lake Lebedyne.
