Theoretical and practical results: the design and software implementation of a system for teaching and testing of the students' knowledge was carried out. Novelty: the developed software for testing students' knowledge implements the original adaptive algorithm to estimate knowledge. The practical significance of the results: the use of developed software for testing of the knowledge will allow to objectively assess students' knowledge and reduce the time that the teacher spends to determine the level of their knowledge.
