The aim of the work is to improve the quality of workpieces while ensuring the efficiency of forge-and-press equipment based on the development of calculation methods, implementation technologies and equipment designs for rolling, training and dividing into measured lengths and the development of new designs of safety systems, improving the reliability of cutting tools. For the study, we used: mathematical and physical modeling, strain gauging, statistical analysis, analytical research methods, analysis of equipment and drive indicators that affect work efficiency. Standard measuring equipment and instruments were used. Based on the analysis of the results of the information-patent search, a classification of modern methods for producing billets and non-waste methods for separating long products into measured billets has been developed, which allows not only to analyze modern methods of procurement, but also to generate new methods of separation and equipment for its implementation. Promising directions for the development of security system designs with high technical and economic characteristics are proposed.
