The practical significance of the obtained results consists in the consideration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva of proposals and arguments in support of the Declaration on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas. The elaboration and discussion of the Declaration provisions, which was initiated in the Department of Economy and Policy of Agrarian Transformation of the Institute were carried out jointly with key representatives of Ukrainian civil society and supported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Presidential Administration of Ukraine and other state institutions. Ukraine became one of 33 countries that voted in support of the document and helped approve it at the 39th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
